I am a graduate of the Columbia University Executive Coaching Certificate Program and a certified practitioner of several assessments, including the Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Strengthsfinder, Hogan Personality Assessment, OSI 360 feedback, Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Inventory, and the Emotional and Social Competency Inventory (ESCI).

 

In the past eight years, I have coached over 300 business professionals. 

 

A background in higher education and the corporate world

 

As a faculty member in the Portland State University Graduate School of Business, I coach students and teach Leadership Development, Business Communications, Global Marketing, and Selling and Sales Leadership. I have received the Oregon Executive MBA Teaching Excellence Award nine times. In April 2018 I was awarded a PSU School of Business Cameron Professorship.

 

During my 15-year corporate career, I was the general manager of a sales, marketing and consulting business unit at the Microsoft Corporation. I also held a number of other management positions at Microsoft, including Group Marketing Manager and National Channel Manager.  Prior to joining Microsoft, I was a sales representative at IBM.

I have a BA in history and an MBA in finance & marketing from the University of Washington.

I am based in Portland, OR and available for executive coaching and training engagements throughout the Western U.S., including Seattle, Portland, Bay Area, Los Angeles, San Diego, Denver, and Phoenix. Skype/Hangout sessions are also available.
